Eleanor 'Ann' Bond- June 2015Eleanor “Ann”  (Bouslog) Bond, 75, of New Castle, passed away on the afternoon of Sunday, June 14, 2015 at Henry County Hospital. She was born June 1, 1940 in Henry County, a daughter of the late James and Irene (Knollman) Bouslog.

Eleanor attended St. Anne Catholic School and was a 1958 graduate of New Castle High School. She attended Ball State University and in 1978 earned an Associates Degree in Business from Oakland University in Michigan. Eleanor enjoyed anything to do with water. She loved going to the beach, boating and water skiing and taught her husband and sons how to ski. She enjoyed bowling, tennis, golf and playing cards, especially Bridge. While living in Michigan she and her family enjoyed cross-county skiing. Eleanor was very vivacious, but was also a tender and sentimental lady. She had an immense love of music. She had impeccable sense of decorating and style leaving her beautiful mark on her home. She complimented all this with the beautiful flowers she planted around her home. Eleanor opened her home to everyone she knew, especially the neighborhood children.

She was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church in New Castle.

She is survived by her husband, Philip Bond; her sons, Joel (wife: Jill) Bond of Greenwood and Stuart (wife: Jennifer) Bond of Fishers; her grandchildren, Eric Bond, Greg Bond, Lauren Bond, Emily Bond, Ashley (husband: Ryan) Davis and Alecia Glover; her great-grandchildren, Natalie Davis, Emily Davis and Hailee Long; her brothers, Tom (wife: Pat) Bouslog and Joe (wife: Karen) Bouslog; a brother-in-law, Jerry Charles and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Beverly Charles.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 20, 2015 at St. Anne Catholic Church with Father Joe Rautenberg officiating. Burial will follow in St. Anne Cemetery.
