New Innovative Tools
The Henry County Community Foundation introduced new tools and programs. These tools for communication and growth will allow the Foundation to more easily, quickly and cost effectively keep donors, grantees, and scholarship recipients informed of Community Foundation opportunities.
Engraved Pet Tag Honorariums and Memorials
There are no
words that can change the feeling of emptiness we feel with the loss of
that special “friend” who shared our heart and life. Their
unconditional love and devotion are missed as much as their splendid
and unique personality. But we can replace the grief with joyful
anticipation when we realize there is hope and comfort to be found
through honoring or memorializing your special pet. For a $10 donation
or more to the Henry County Humane Society Endowment Fund, your pet’s
name can be engraved on a tag and placed on a plaque at the Humane
Society. For a dog bone or cat paw tag, a minimum $25 donation is
required. This is a thoughtful way to remember your special friend,
warm your heart and help future pets.
The Henry County Community Foundation introduced a new e-newsletter. The Foundation Pulse e-newsletter was started to communicate upcoming events, scholarship, grant, fund and donor opportunities as well as success stories of scholarship recipients and grants that enhance the quality of life in Henry County. To sign up for the Foundation Pulse e-newsletter, please visit our website at www.henrycountycf.org or email us at email@example.com.
Facebook Fan Page
Become a fan of the newly established Henry County Community Foundation Facebook page and become friends of Community Foundation staff. In an effort to stay in touch with the hundreds of scholarship winners each year, the Foundation is using Facebook to keep students up-to-date on scholarship deadlines and to quickly obtain end- of-semester grade reports.
A gift calculator was created in the donor section of our website to estimate the value and impact of fund growth over time. This allows donors to quickly see how utilizing the community foundation as a vehicle to support their favorite charities can make a lasting difference.
Search, Shop and Give Program
The Henry County Community Foundation earns a penny every time you search the Internet through GoodSearch.com. GoodSearch.com is a new Yahoo-powered search engine that donates half its advertising revenue, about a penny per search, to the charities its users designate. Just go to www.goodsearch.com and be sure to enter the Henry County Community Foundation as the charity you want to support the next time you shop. Use it just as you would any search engine, get quality search results and watch the donations add up! GoodShop.com is a new online shopping mall which donates a percentage of every purchase your make online to the Henry County Community Foundation. Hundreds of stores including Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Best Buy, eBay, Expedia, Gap, Macy’s, Target, and Wal-Mart have teamed up with GoodShop and every time you place an order, you’ll be supporting Henry County.
On-line Donations through Discover
The Community Foundation website now offers an easy way for donors to give online through Discover in addition to MasterCard and Visa or by using the online donation form.
Special Occasion Acknowledgement Cards
Attractive special occasion cards are meaningful ways to celebrate birthdays, anniversaries, retirement or service to an organization. Holiday cards are available for Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Valentine’s Day, Easter, Veteran’s Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas. Special pet cards are also available. Honor or memorialize a special friend or loved one by contributing $10 or more to any established fund; and the Foundation will send an inscribed greeting card (upon request) in your name to those you wish to acknowledge.
