History:

The Guyer Opera House is a storefront and “gas lamp” theater constructed in 1901 during the Indiana natural gas boom. It was registered as a historical landmark in 1979. In 2001, 100 years after its construction, the Guyer was awarded Theater of the Year by the community theater and continues supporting the local arts.
