Katina is a graduate of Shenandoah High School, returning after receiving a bachelor’s degree in history from Olivet Nazarene University in Bourbonnais, Illinois, where she volunteered at a local historical society. During her senior year at Olivet, she spent a semester abroad at the University of Oxford in the United Kingdom, studying at Wycliffe Hall. She also has a master of arts in history from Ball State University, where she worked as a graduate assistant in the history department and a student assistant for student athlete support services. Before joining the Henry County Community Foundation in 2016, she worked at the Minnetrista Cultural Center in Muncie and was also a volunteer at the Henry County Historical Society and was also a volunteer for the Indiana Historical Society’s 2016 History Day.
