I am extremely happy to join the team with Henry County Community Foundation. I have a servant’s heart and value being a part of the greater good. I value the personal satisfaction that comes from working with nonprofits and collaborating with people who are compelled to “be the difference you want to see in the world.” Together, we make very good things happen. As Miriam Beard said, “The results of philanthropy are always beyond calculation.”
Prior to joining the foundation, I served for 14 years working at Anderson University. I discovered my passion for philanthropy through my work serving in Advancement Services with AU. I earned my Bachelors of Science degree with a major in Organizational Leadership from AU and am honored to bring my education and professional experiences to the HCCF. I am eagerly looking forward to what the future holds. I am pleased knowing my work has such a positive impact on the Henry County community.
I am Indiana proud. I love living in the Midwest as a Hoosier. I appreciate living where we actually have a change in seasons, enjoying the uniqueness of winter, spring, summer and fall. I am blessed to be married to my husband Danny for 33 years. We are the proud parents of our son Cameron, who is a Firefighter/EMT, proudly serving as a first responder. We are also the parents of a canine child, Riley, our two year old Cocker Spaniel. One of my favorite times to pray is on a walk with Riley.
Fun Fact: My family lived in Cuba on the Guantanamo Bay military base when my Father was stationed in Cuba during his time of service in the Navy.
