Charley and his wife, Emma, have lived in Henry County for over 40 years. As a high school educator, Charley’s first interaction with the Foundation was with TASC. He was also actively involved with assisting students and evaluating applications on scholarship opportunities through the HCCF. Charley notes the great honor serving on the board can be,
“The opportunity to serve on the board is a great honor. From a very early age, I was taught to serve. As an educator, serving students and the school community can be a 24/7 challenge. In retirement, it is extremely rewarding to continue serving the Henry County community.” Charley is a retired educator of 40 years, the last 17 years he was the principal of Shenandoah High School.
