The Henry County Community Foundation hosted a Legacy Luncheon at the New Castle First United Methodist Church. Attendees enjoyed a delicious lunch from The Park Restaurant and an impactful message.

Paula Timmons spoke about her mother, Rosemary Muncy, and her passion and dedication to help those going through cancer and dealing with hardships. Through Rosemary’s estate plan, she donated to the Henry County Community Foundation to support the Cancer Society’s efforts for years to come. Following Paula was the current president of the Cancer Society of Henry County, Nancy Lewis, who shared about the impact of Rosemary’s fund. She told several stories of local residents receiving help and care thanks to Rosemary’s planning and generosity. Her fund at the Foundation can continue to grow and make a difference in the community forever.

The Foundation President and Executive Director, Jennifer Fox, closed the program by encouraging planned giving and emphasizing how donors can support the causes they care about well beyond their lifetimes.

It was a great time of fellowship, appreciation, and storytelling!
