The Women’s Circle of Friends is a giving circle, which enables everyday people to be involved in creating a better Henry County. We do this by combining donations and knowledge to provide impactful grants. Women wishing to be part of the Circle of Friends must make a minimum donation of $50 to the Circle of Friends Fund. Members will be invited to the Women’s Grantmaking Gala where, as a group, they will vote on a non-profit to receive the pooled donations.
Henry County 501c3 non-profit organizations may apply for the Women’s Circle of Friends Giving Circle Grant. 501c3 organizations that have received the Women’s Circle grant in the past 3 years are not eligible to apply. Government/school organizations are not eligible to apply.
Grant applications will be reviewed by a panel of local women who will select three finalists to present at the Gala in September. Finalists will be notified by the end of August and will be asked to attend the Women’s Grantmaking Gala to make a 5-minute presentation about their organization. Following the presentation, the members of the Circle of Friends Giving Circle will be given the opportunity to ask questions. After all presentations are made and the questions are answered, a vote will be taken and the non-profit with the most votes will be announced that evening.
Women’s Circle of Friends grant applications are due July 31st each year. If this date falls on a Saturday, the applications will be due the Friday before. If it falls on a Sunday, the applications will be due the Monday after.
In anticipation of fewer restrictions due to the Covid-19 pandemic, HCCF plans to hold the 8th annual Women’s Circle of Friends Grantmaking Gala on Tuesday, September 14.
