Known as being a funny man with a sunny disposition, Harold Caine established the memorial fund in his last will and testament to benefit Henry County children, 5 years old and under, during the holidays.
Henry County non-profit organizations providing holiday assistance to children 5 years old and under may apply. In order to prevent duplication, the organization is required to provide a list of children helped by the grant. These names are confidential and for office use only.
The grant application opens online September 13, 2021 and the deadline is October 15, 2021 at 5:00 pm. (List of children receiving services may be submitted at a later date, before checks mailed.) The Caine Grants Committee meets and makes the selections. A grant agreement is sent to the non-profit organization. Once the signed agreement is returned as well as a complete list of children served, a check will be mailed to the organization. A report form is required at the completion of the grant.
