Arnold B. Troxell, 74, of Indianapolis passed away Saturday, May 2, 2015 at his residence following an extended illness. He was born July 14, 1940 in Monticello, Kentucky a son of the late Wesley and Mamie (Crabtree) Troxell.
He retired from Chrysler Corporation in Center Line, Michigan in 1998 after 30 years of service. He previously worked at the Chrysler Electrical Plant on Shadeland Avenue for several years. Arnold was a member of the UAW. He was a member of Franklin Road Church of Christ in Indianapolis. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping.
Survivors include his wife of over 53 years Sarah Troxell of Indianapolis, whom he married May 23, 1961; three children, Debbie (Howell) Gross of Indianapolis, Terry (Cheryl) Troxell of Greenfield, and Regina (Troy) Adams of Fishers; seven grandchildren, Jason Gross, Autumn Gross, Chad Troxell, Andy Troxell, Eric Bledsoe, Jamie Fahey and Cody Troxell; twelve great grandchildren; two sisters, Lois (Pete) Binford of New Castle and Logene (Tommy) Williams of Monticello, Kentucky; one brother, Loren (Effajean) Troxell of Hagerstown; several nieces & nephews and his dog Savannah.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son Dwayne Troxell in 2010; and several brothers & sisters.
Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. Monday, May 4, 2015 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at Hinsey-Brown with Bruce Blanton officiating. Private burial services will take place at South Mound Cemetery West Lawn Addition on Wednesday.
