Beverly June Schetgen, 67, of New Castle passed away peacefully on the morning of Wednesday, May 19, 2021.
She was born on September 1, 1953 in New Castle, a daughter of the late Edward Stephens and Leita Wilson.
Bev graduated from New Castle Chrysler High School in 1971. She later worked at the New Castle YMCA in childcare as well as the New Castle American Legion Post #137. Bev enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and loved to travel and spend vacations at the beach.
Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband, Steve Schetgen; three children, Matthew Schetgen, Ashley (husband: Tyron) Rainer and Aaron (wife: Lorri) Schetgen; five grandchildren, Rachelle, Tyler, Ashton, Rees and Dylan; one great-grandson, Jett; five siblings, Sondra Cline, Vicki (husband: Roger) McGinnis, Mike Stephens, Pat (wife: Brenda) Stephens and Penny (husband: Bud) Gauker as well as many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Kenny Stephens and brother-in-law, Jerry Cline.
The family appreciates your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time and to honor Beverly’s wishes there will be no formal services at this time. The family is planning a celebration of life remembrance in the future and asks at this time you allow the family time to grieve.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be offered to the Cancer Society of Henry County Fund at the Henry County Community Foundation.
