Dean Hahn

Dean Hahn’s high school days at Muncie Central were occupied playing the sport he loved; football.  The commitment and lessons learned on the football field were beneficial to his four-year term in the Marine Corp.  After completing his military commitment, Dean returned to his hometown and graduated from Ball State University.  Following a forty-five year career as a purchasing manager at Case, a worldwide manufacturer and marketer of agricultural and construction equipment in Terre Haute, he retired to Knightstown to be near family.

Dean understands the meaning of hard work and commitment and believes in the importance of youth receiving the skills needed to become successful adults in the workforce.  After a conversation with his attorney about the possibility of continuing his philanthropic efforts, Dean chose to include the Henry County Community Foundation (HCCF) in his will.  Through his charitable act, a fund will be created to assist students attending Henry County’s Ivy Tech Community College, New Castle campus and Ivy Tech’s Muncie campus.  Future students of East Central Indiana will have a brighter tomorrow thanks to Dean Hahn’s planned gift through the HCCF.
