Mark your calendar for one of Henry County’s most inspiring evenings, the Women’s Circle of Friends Grantmaking Gala. Now in its 12th year, this unique event invites women to come together, share a meal, and pool their generosity to create real change for local nonprofits.

At last year’s gala, more than 100 women gathered to support three outstanding nonprofit finalists: Hagar’s Hope, Kennard Krusaders, and the New Castle-Henry County Renaissance Festival. After inspiring presentations, attendees voted to determine the funding distribution. Hagar’s Hope—which provides transitional housing for women in need—was awarded the top grant, receiving 70% of the funds to help local women build safe, stable, and independent futures. In total, $6,800 was awarded to nonprofits making a difference in Henry County.

This year’s event will be held on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, at The Crossing on 38 in New Castle, IN. The evening begins with a Cocktail Hour at 5:00 PM, followed by Dinner and Grantmaking at 6:00 PM.

With a minimum $50 donation, you’ll enjoy an evening filled with laughter, great conversation, and the joy of giving. All proceeds are pooled to create the night’s grants, and you’ll have the exciting job of voting on how those funds are distributed, making every guest a vital part of the impact.
