For more than 16 years, Jennifer Fox has been part of the Henry County Community Foundation story, and in many ways, she’s helped shape it.

Jennifer began her journey at the Foundation, working closely with scholarships and grants, later leading development and marketing efforts. Over the years, she’s served in several roles, including Vice President, and today has the honor of serving as President and Executive Director. Each role has given her a deeper understanding of how the Foundation connects people who care with causes that matter.

What Jennifer appreciates most about her work comes down to people. She often thinks of the advice Mr. Rogers’ mother shared, “Look for the helpers.” At the Foundation, Jennifer gets to do just that every day. She works alongside donors, volunteers, nonprofit leaders, and community members who generously give their time, talent, and treasure to make Henry County a better place to live and work.

When she reflects on what has meant the most over the years, one word stands out: community.

Foundation volunteers, including the board and committee members, hold a special place in her heart. “They show up because they care deeply, and along the way, they become friends united by a shared mission,” Jennifer expressed.

She’s equally grateful for the staff she’s worked with through the years and especially for the team she works alongside today. Jennifer described them, “They are compassionate professionals, and their teamwork sets a standard everyone should aspire to. I feel truly blessed to walk through the doors each day and be part of this group.”

And then there are the donors. Jennifer has had a front-row seat to witness incredible generosity, from those who live here now to those who may have moved away but still hold Henry County close. “They give with joy, and their generosity creates real magic in our community,” Jennifer shared.

If there’s one thing Jennifer wants others to know, it’s this: the Foundation is for everyone. You don’t have to give a large gift to make a difference. Every gift, no matter the size, becomes part of something bigger. When combined, these contributions create meaningful and lasting change.

As Jennifer stated, “I’m reminded of the old saying, ‘It takes a village.’  We all are a part of that village, and together, we make our community stronger.”
