Katie Pfaff is serving as a Lilly Intern at the Henry County Community Foundation this summer. An upcoming sophomore at Butler University, Katie is a 2015 Tri High School graduate and a former member of the Foundation’s youth grant-making committee, Teens About Serving the County (TASC).
Majoring in Strategic Communications and Public Relations, Katie hopes to work in the communications field, using her major to help develop and define a company’s image and reputation that will be part of a positive brand.
Katie became one of the owners with her two older brothers of a local event center, The Gathering in Lewisville, when she was a sophomore in high school. “Becoming a business owner helped me realize the importance of image and branding. I also learned that such a place can create a positive impact on the community. I valued my experience with the TASC group and being a member of 4-H during my school years and am committed to giving back to my community,” said Katie.
“We are excited that Katie has chosen to spend her summer working as a Lilly Intern at the Foundation, added executive director, Beverly Matthews. She’s already proving to be a very capable and valuable asset.”
