Helen Ann Gray, 83, of New Castle passed away Saturday, November 15, 2025 at Stonebrooke Rehabilitation Center. She was born June 22, 1942 in Crawford County, Indiana to the late Lewis and Alma (Patton) Lenz.

Feisty, sassy, loving and funny are just some of the words that begin to describe Helen Ann Gray. Helen had a giving heart and loved to spoil her family with gifts and good times. She loved traveling to many places, especially the beach, Walt Disney World and Sea World.

She is survived by her children, Breonna Gray, David Earl Gray Jr. and Cayonna Gray; great grandson, David Weaver; sister, Carol Prosser; six grandchildren; brother-in-law, Ronnie Coomer; sister-in-law, Connie Lenz; nieces, Allison (David) Todd, Robin Pennington and Carol Gregory and several other nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, David Earl Gray Sr.; a daughter, Tammy Jewell; a son, Bobby Gray; granddaughter, Devon Weaver; siblings, Richard Lenz, Diane Coomer, Nancy Baker and Scott Lenz; nieces, Jama Wisehart and Lisa Fritz and a nephew, Mikie Fultz.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, November 21, 2025 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with David Todd officiating. A time for friends and family to gather will be from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service on Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be at a later date at her family cemetery in Crawford County, Indiana. Memorial contributions may be made to the Henry County Cancer Society.
