Judith “Judy” (Broyles) Myers, age 85, a New Castle resident, passed away Tuesday morning, June 8, 2021 at Addison Place. She was born July 11, 1935 in New Castle, Indiana and was the daughter of Robinson and Thelma Sanders. Judy enjoyed bowling, sitting by the pool, and playing bridge. She loved and cherished spending time with her grandchildren and will always be known for her beautiful smile. She was a member of P.E.O. and First Presbyterian Church where she served as a Deacon of the Church. As a 1953 graduate of New Castle High School, she was active in homecoming and class reunion activities. Left to cherish her loving memory include her husband, Dr. Jim Myers, whom she married December 18, 1987; their children, Michael (Patty McClure) Broyles, David (Nicole Cox) Broyles, Todd (Colleen Maze) Myers, Tim (Sarah Nickel) Myers; daughter-in-law, Robin Broyles (Doug Dorn); grandchildren, Mica (Nick) White, Megan (Steven) Woods, Noah Broyles, Jake Myers, Maky (Alex) Chefalo, Ted and Charlotte Myers; great-grandchildren, Kelsey, Hudson, Harper and Hank White, Hailey, Katie and Nate Woods, Cece Chefalo. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Marvin Broyles in 1980 and a son, Alan Broyles in 2004; also, a sister, Barbara (Sanders) Ford in 1997. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m., Thursday, June 10, 2021 at The First Presbyterian Church, 1202 Church Street, New Castle, Indiana with Reverend Rod Smith officiating. Burial will follow at South Mound Cemetery. Friends may call from 12:00 noon until service time at the church.
