Danny Danielson, age 95, of New Castle, Indiana passed away on Thursday, May 7 at home after a short illness but the legacy he leaves his hometown community of Henry County will never be lost. Danielson and his late wife, Patty, were instrumental in establishing the Henry County Community Foundation and it was their service, dedication and influence that contributed to its success. They were among a strong core group of people that laid the groundwork of excellent stewardship that the organization still follows today.

Danielson was an emeritus member of the board of directors and was still active on the Foundation’s Finance Committee. He and his late wife, Patty, were recipients of the Judy Melton Award in 2012.

Beverly Matthews, President of the Henry County Community Foundation said, “While Danielson was recognized as a leader and great philanthropist throughout the state of Indiana, his hometown community prospered the most from his lifelong dedication to New Castle and Henry County. The best way to honor his life is to follow his exemplary example, abundant generosity and his service to others.”

Our sincere condolences to the Danielson Family.
