Patricia A. Hunt, 83 of Knightstown passed away Friday, June 5, 2026 at IU Health Methodist Hospital. She was born January 15, 1943 in New Castle, the daughter of Fred and Frances (Masters) Riggs.

She was a 1961 graduate of Wilkinson High School where she was crowned prom queen and was a majorette. Patti always had an entrepreneurial spirit, and along with her husband, David, owned and operated Hunt’s Family Dining in Fortville, Hunt’s Shoe Repair in Noblesville, and Video Rental Stores in the 1980’s.

An amazing mother, she raised her grandson Dylan, who is a bright part of her life. Amongst many things she enjoyed in life is going to Las Vegas, and playing the slot machines.

She leaves to cherish her memory, two sons, Bryan Hunt of Greenfield, and Richie Hunt of Sausalito, CA; a grandson, Dylan Hunt of Ingalls; a sister, with whom she lived, Marilyn Sue Riggs of Knightstown, and a brother, Mike (Monta) Riggs of Knightstown.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David Hunt, and a sister, Debra Jane Riggs.

Cremation Rites will be accorded at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service, Knightstown Chapel. A memorial celebration is pending in the future.
