Patti Jo was a 1954 graduate of New Castle High School. She never married and enjoyed her career as an Airline Stewardess for United Airlines for 42 years retiring in 1998. For many years, Patti Jo lived on Lakeshore Drive in Chicago and worked the Chicago to Los Angeles Flight. She was a member of the Association of Flight Attendants United – CWA, AFL – CIO. Patti Jo loved her cats and took great care of them. She was a lifetime member and board member of the Henry County Humane Society. Patti Jo constructed the “Petey’s Playhouse” For the Love of Animals at the Humane Society and also established a matching Endowment Fund through the Henry County Community Foundation.
Those left to cherish Patti Jo’s memory include her cousins, Judy (husband: Dr. James) Myers of New Castle and Marjorie (husband: James) Cross of Noblesville; special friends, Mike and Patty Broyles, Diana (husband: Phil) Marcum, and Gene and Donna Hastings all of New Castle.
She was preceded in death by cousins, Barbara Ford and Edward and Wilma Clevenger.
A memorial service celebrating Patti Jo’s life will be held at 4:00 pm, Thursday, May 3, 2018 at Sproles Family Funeral Home.
Private inurnment will take place in Miller Cemetery in Middletown.
