Richard Bell- June 2015Richard Dean Bell, 51, a resident of Mooreland passed away unexpectedly Saturday, June 6, 2015 at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born May 22, 1964 in New Castle and was a 1982 graduate of Union High School.

Richard was employed at Parker Machinery Movers in Indianapolis since 2009. He had formerly been employed at Borg-Warner Corp. in Muncie for 24 years. An avid outdoorsman, Richard enjoyed cutting trees, gardening and welding. He also worked on the family farm where he also raised calves.

Survivors include his wife: Jackie S. (Davis) Bell; two daughters: Meghan (Todd) Johnson of Mooreland and Melissa “Sis” Bell of New Castle; his mother: Teresa Bell of Mooreland; a sister: Brenda (Joe) Wiley of Mooreland; maternal grandmother: Eullillian Bell of Mooreland; three granddaughters: Rielyn Johnson, Trinity and Maciah Driskill; father-in-law: Charles Davis of Muncie; two step-children: Melissa (Chad) Miller and Joshua Lester, both of Muncie; seven step-grandchildren: Trenton, Macy and Ava Miller, Kelsey, Taylor, Logan and Sydney Johnson; Aunts and uncles: Cindy Farmer of Webster, Dave (Michelle) Cline of Mooreland and Rocky Cline of Arizona; sister-in-law: Renda Davis of Muncie; three brothers-in-law: Charles (Julie) Davis of Selma, Mike Davis of Greenfield and Scott (Becky) Davis of Selma; numerous nieces and nephews; and a special young man whom Richard thought of as a son: Kris Stautamoyer of Muncie.

He was preceded in death by his father: Robert Bell; paternal grandfather: Hobert Bell; maternal grandparents: Robert and Dorothy Cline; an uncle: Nick Bell and his mother-in-law: Linda Davis.

Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 11, 2015 At Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Chuck Bell officiating. Burial will follow in Mooreland Cemetery. Friends may call from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 10 at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be given to the Henry County Heart Association, 1000 N. 16th St. New Castle, IN or the Henry County Community Foundation to benefit the Blountsville Volunteer Fire Dept., P.O.
