Share This Post:

Requirements: 2.7 GPA or higher, 4-year degree

Description:

The Clifford Joe and Violet M. Crane Memorial Scholarship Fund was established in 2013 by their children for instilling in each of them the value of hard work and the importance of a post-secondary education.  Their father, a WW II USMC veteran owned and operated a successful interior/exterior decorating business, drove a school bus for New Castle Community School Corporation for over 30 years, and was involved in county government.  Their mother worked for several years with the Henry County Family and Social Services prior to her retirement.  Both parents, as well as all of their children, graduated from New Castle High School.

“We established the fund so that we could share our appreciation for what our parents did for us during their lives so that their legacy may live on and benefit others.  We wanted the fund to be unique and available to someone with a B- average.”
