Requirements: Indiana University School of Medicine

Description:

The Dr. William K. Saint Memorial Fund was created in memory of Dr. Saint, who was a longtime local resident, graduate of New Castle High School, and practiced medicine in this community as a physician and surgeon.

The applicant must be a resident of Henry County and enrolled as a full time student in Indiana University School of Medicine and who have not yet completed their third full year of medical school. Such applicant must have completed the first year of such medical school in the upper half of the class.

The scholarship may be renewed annually up to two (2) times (total of three years) provided class ranking in the upper half (1/2) is maintained to enable scholarship recipients to complete their medical school careers.

To be used for tuition, room and board, and educational expenses.

Required attachments:

1. Application- access HERE

2. Transcript of grades or letter of good standing from University

3. Two recommendation forms

Applications submitted online by June 5, 2020 at 5pm.

Payments will be made directly to Indiana University School of Medicine.

If a student does not attend Indiana University School of Medicine, all monies awarded shall be reimbursed to the Dr. William K. Saint Scholarship Fund.

IMPORTANT:  The Henry County Community Foundation will not send checks to the college choice until a thank you has been received at the foundation, addressed to the individual provided on the award letter.  The foundation will mail the thank you note/card to the appropriate individual.
