First United Bank and the members of the Fall Creek Optimist Club established the William T. Davis Memorial Scholarship Fund in 1998. Bill Davis was known throughout our community for his willingness to provide help and support for any worthy cause or individual. He was instrumental in the success of many businesses and the financial well being of many families through his personal attention to all who asked for his help while he served as president of First United Bank. The William T. Davis Memorial Scholarship is intended to continue the tradition of helping those who help themselves to which Bill dedicated so much of his energies and time during his lifetime.

The award is a one-year scholarship to a graduating senior from Shenandoah High School enrolled in an accredited vocation-trade school.
