Growing up as a proud Blue Devil in the tight-knit community of Tipton, Indiana I always envisioned a path where I could contribute meaningfully to my home. Henry County has allowed me to fulfill that vision.
After graduating from High School in 1991, I spent some time at Ball State University where I followed Mark Twain’s advice and didn’t let my schooling interfere with my education. I completed my Bachelor’s Degree at Indiana University of Indianapolis before an exciting move to Chicago, where I honed my skills in technology public relations at Porter Novelli.
In 2000 I met my now husband Matt. We married in 2001 and briefly called Columbus, Ohio home for his studies at THE Ohio State University. The pull of our Hoosier State proved to be strong and Matt, a Berne native, and I found a wonderful home here in Henry County.
We share a joyful and chaotic life with our two sons -one a 19-year-old at Butler University and the other a 17-year-old junior at New Castle High School. We are also very well trained by two furry, four-legged members of our family.
My passion for our community blossomed during my time as the Director of New Castle Main Street, and I’m absolutely thrilled to now contribute to the betterment of the entire county as part of the Henry County Community Foundation. It’s an honor to be part of an organization and team that works tirelessly to make a difference right here at home.
Fun Fact: Matt and I love to downhill ski and met on a ski trip in Colorado. I continue to be a better skier than he is!
