Donor Spotlight: Susan Falck-Neal
A Lifelong Connection to Henry County
For Susan Falck-Neal, Henry County is more than just a place to live—it’s where her roots run deep.
Born and raised here, Susan has always felt a strong connection to her community. While her early career briefly took her elsewhere, she and her husband chose to return, establish their businesses, and raise their family in the area that meant so much to them.
“Our commitment to this community runs deep,” Susan shares. “We’re proud to contribute to its growth and success.”
This dedication naturally led Susan to the Henry County Community Foundation, thanks to an invitation from longtime supporter, Mr. Herb Bunch.
“I admit I was a little intimidated at first,” Susan recalls. “But Herb assured me that the Foundation was focused on improving Henry County and that my perspective would be valued.”
She soon found herself working alongside other passionate, like-minded leaders and quickly saw the significant impact of the Foundation’s work. Through listening and learning, Susan developed a strong appreciation for how the Foundation supports the community.
“For me, volunteering with the Foundation is about stewardship—giving back to the place that has given so much to my family,” she explains. “I was fortunate to have mentors who demonstrated true dedication to this county. Now, I feel a responsibility to continue that work.”
The Foundation’s structure of preserving principal and investing interest strongly resonates with Susan. “It’s a sustainable way to ensure we’re addressing today’s needs while planning carefully for tomorrow.”
Looking ahead, Susan is optimistic. She believes the Foundation’s continued growth will lead to an even greater impact. “I believe in the Foundation’s ability to address the most pressing needs of our community while also focusing on long-term goals,” Susan said.
“Meeting immediate needs is critical, but planning for the future is equally important. With continued support and strong leadership, we can ensure that Henry County thrives for generations to come.”
